Diplomas were awarded to more than 100 traditional, Accelerated Degree Program and master's degree graduates at Albright College's 2014 Winter Commencement ceremony on Dec. 13, 2014.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2014-15 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

More than 1,700 students have been named to the Fall 2014 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

Lebanon Valley College's Pride of the Valley marching band is made up of 151 members representing 24 different academic programs. The fall 2014 halftime show is titled "Decimation of the New World."

Lebanon Valley College is recognizing its high-achieving first-year students for receiving scholarships from the College. Among the incoming class of 448 students, 63 percent rank in the top 30 percent of their high school class; 12 students were valedictorians; 52 percent of students earned a scholarship worth half-tuition; and five students received the full-tuition Allwein Scholarship. Resident Assistants (RAs) at Alvernia University have been named for the 2014-15 academic year. RAs are academically successful students, committed to the core values of university, who help build strong and healthy residential communities.

Students volunteered for Alvernia University's South Reading Youth Initiative (SRYI) program last semester. The program aims to promote continued education, mentoring and support for healthy choices in children who live or go to school in the South Reading area.

In-between classes and college activities, students volunteered for Alvernia University's "Alvernia READS" program last semester. The program is dedicated to promoting childhood literacy and improving academic achievement for underprivileged children.
