Hard-working Alvernia University students were inducted into the Beta Kappa Chi honor society this semester.

Lebanon Valley College has recognized 130 of its first-year students for making an impact on campus as a new student. The Celebration of Student Success reception, held on Tuesday, April 7 in Mund College Center, honored the student's achievement.

Pi Sigma Alpha is a national political science honor society founded in 1920. Its purpose is to recognize and promote high academic achievement in the field of political science. At Elizabethtown College, students are offered membership as juniors when they have achieved a GPA of 3.3 or higher within the major.

Lebanon Valley College recently inducted 23 students into Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education, as part of its Inquiry 2015 celebration.

From Providence to Pittsburgh to Peru, more than 130 Roger Williams University students ditched beach towels and opted for tool belts as part of Alternative Spring Break projects this year.

Alvernia University was represented by 25 student-athletes on the Middle Atlantic Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll for 2014-15.

Nearly a dozen Alvernia students, led by Dr. Carrie Fitzpatrick and department Chair Beth DeMeo, are presenting papers, panels, and creative work at the 2015 Sigma Tau Delta International English Society Conference in Albuquerque, N.M.

The DREAM Conference focuses on active responses to intolerance in many forms, including bigotry, bullying, discrimination, and violence. Students from all fields were invited to address the theme "Experiences, Challenges and Learning from a Place of Difference." Students have submitted academic papers, projects focused on activism, and works of art. Projects may address the theme within the United States or in any region throughout the world.

Alvernia students volunteered in the City of Reading through Alvernia University Alternative Break programs this spring.

Just over 100 Alvernia student-athletes competed on Crusader sports teams this fall. Alvernia offers 9 men's and 11 women's intercollegiate, NCAA Division III teams.

More than 1,425 students were named to The University of Scranton Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2014 fall semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2014 dean's list.

The following students have been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List for the fall 2014 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Elizabethtown College students participated in the fall 2014 Mid-Atlantic European Union Simulation. The eleven students, representing Denmark, each played the role of a member of the Danish delegation, working together to negotiate with other colleges and universities to pass legislation.

Wilkes University Provost Anne A. Skleder announces the Dean's List for the Fall 2014 Semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must earn a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

The following students were named to the Castleton College President's List for the fall semester of the 2014-15 academic year. To qualify for this highest academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 4.0.

Seventeen Lebanon Valley College students will perform recitals on campus this spring. Recitals feature a variety of instruments and vocal performances.

James Madison University is pleased to announce those students who earned president's list honors for the fall 2014 semester. Students who earn president's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above.

More than 250 Albright College students were named to the Dean's List for academic achievement during the fall 2014 semester.
