More than 40 members of the Albright College Class of 2016 were inducted into the Society of Jacob Albright Scholars at a ceremony on Saturday, May 21. Lifetime membership in the Society is awarded to graduates who have completed at least half their course work at Albright and who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, graduates in the Class of 2016 took center stage for Elizabethtown College's 113th Commencement. Regina Benjamin, 18th U.S. Surgeon General, was speaker.

Lebanon Valley College has announced its Dean's List recipients for the fall 2015 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

The following students were named to the Castleton University President's List for the spring semester of the 2015-16 academic year. To qualify for this highest academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 4.0.

Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2015-16 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Lebanon Valley College celebrated its 147th Commencement on Saturday, May 14 with 476 students receiving their degrees in Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 369 graduating seniors were joined by 37 doctor of physical therapy candidates, and 70 master's degree candidates.

Kutztown University's men's 4x800m relay team made history for the second straight year at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Last year, a school-record was set. Saturday, that record was broken again in a title-winning run at Mansfield University. The quartet of Naeb Mengisteab, Devonte King, Andrew Thompson and Jared Luckanitz turned in the best relay of their careers.

Albright students were recognized for academic achievements at the annual Honors & Awards Ceremony on May 1, 2016.

Kutztown University inducted five members into its inaugural class of SALUTE National Honor Society.

Carthage held the sixth annual Celebration of Scholars event on Friday, April 29, 2016. Celebration of Scholars is a poster exhibition that features original research, scholarship, and creative work completed by Carthage students.

Lebanon Valley College inducted 141 students to its Sigma Alpha Pi honor society on April 10, 2016, as part of Inquiry 2016. Sigma Alpha Pi is the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. The Society serves as a powerful force of good in the greater community by encouraging and organizing action to better the world. Students are selected for induction based upon their GPA and level of involvement. The Society is based on six main tenets for achieving success: finding a vision, setting goals, persevering, taking risks, pursuing your passion, and continuous improvement.

Castleton Men's Hockey recently had a program-record 20 student-athletes receive New England Hockey Conference All-Academic honors.

Lebanon Valley College inducted 51 students to its Phi Alpha Epsilon honor society on April 3, 2016, as part of Inquiry 2016. Membership is limited to senior students who have achieved a 3.6 GPA, completed 24 credits of LVC coursework, and earned a bronze, silver, or gold community service award.

First-year Elizabethtown College students, who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher and are in the top 20 percent of their class, are invited to become members of Alpha Lambda Delta, a national organization founded in 1924. The mission of Alpha Lambda Delta is to encourage superior academic achievement, promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their unique roles in society.

The Dream Undergraduate Diversity Conference, in its second year, yielded many interesting topics including stoicism, white privilege, understanding non-binary gender, mental illness, and racism. Students presented research projects, photography, poetry, artwork, creative animation, and pictorial essays. The field of presenters were judged by a panel of four faculty members.

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned Merit Scholarships to attend Alvernia University this fall.

Sixty three Alvernia University student-athletes were named to the MAC Fall 2015 Academic Honor Roll, announced in January by Executive Director Ken Andrews and the Middle Atlantic Conference. The academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes who earned a 3.2 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale) while competing on varsity level athletic teams.
